The game doesn't start getting fun until you start upgrading but even then there's not really much drive to keep playing because there's no system of progression. You need a level progression system to drive the player towards a goal rather than just maxing out on upgrades because then the choice of what upgrades to choose becomes a lot more important to the player where in this game it doesn't matter what I choose because I can eventually max out anyways. The shield capacity regeneration keeps regenerating when you pause the game. Its not apparent that it's regenerating but once you pause the game and then you resume later you'll notice that your shield capacity has regenerated. I do like the artwork and smooth mechanics in this game and its some pretty solid work but there's a lot of room for improvement in the gameplay aspect.
